The Temperature Series Dialog is used by the Composition-Temperature Estimates Dialog to generate a series of state variables consisting of fixed compositions and temperatures varying between specified limits.
The Temperature Series dialog provides controls for specifying fixed compositions and a range of temperature values.
1
|
Property Control: displays the name of the physical property being estimated. |
2
|
Number of Rows Control: displays the number of table rows into which the series values will be pasted. This number is initially equal to number of table rows selected in the estimates dialog. |
3
|
Increment/Decrement Control: enables you to increment or decrement the number of rows into which the series values will be pasted. |
4
|
Components Controls: displays the names of the components in the current mixture. |
5
|
Composition Control: enables you to specify the fixed composition of each component. |
6
|
Starting Temperature Control: enables you to enter the lower limit of the generated temperatures. |
7
|
Limit Type Control: enables you to select if temperature values will be generated between a starting and ending limit or will be incremented by a specified amount. See below for details. |
8
|
Limit Amount Control: enables you to enter either the upper temperature limit or the increment used to generate temperature values. See below for details. |
9
|
X Default Button: activates the Default Compositions Dialog which enables to select a default composition which will be entered into the composition controls. See below for documentation. |
Temperature values can be generated between two limits, the starting temperature and the ending temperature, or by repeatedly incrementing the starting temperature by a specified amount. The dialog's Limit Type control specifies which type of series to generate.
Assuming the number of rows equals 6, the entries to the right would generate temperatures of: 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 C.
Assuming the number of rows equals 6, the entries to the right would generate temperatures of: 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 C.
A mixture's Default Composition Section may contain one or more compositions that can be accessed by various dialogs used by Cranium and Synapse. The Temperature Series Dialog is one such dialog.
Pressing the dialog's X Default button activates the default composition dialog.
Selecting a row in the Default Composition table control and pressing the OK button will insert the selected compositions into the Temperature Series dialog's composition controls.
