Mixture Selection Document
Applicability: Synapse (core versions 0315+)

Mixture Selection documents provide a powerful tool for quickly and throughly searching through mixtures to find those that satisfy a set of physical property constraints.

Example Uses
  • Screen a knowledge base containing a catalog of mixture products for the properties requested by a customer.
  • Ranking the candidates of a mixture design using additional selection constraints.
  • Search for extractive distillation solvents in a knowledge base containing mixtures created by using the Generate Binary Mixtures command.
Document Chapters

A Mixture Selection Document contains four chapters. Each of these chapters can be accessed by clicking on its corresponding tab in the document's Tab Pane.

Chapter Description
Summary Chapter manages title, descriptions and other information about the Chemical Selection document
Mixture Selections Chapter provides capabilities for specifying selection constraints to be used to screen and rank candidate mixtures
Mixture Functions Chapter manages the functions used to create selection constraints
References Chapter manages the details of references used through the document
