Chemical Selection Document
Applicability: Synapse (core versions 0315+)

Chemical Selection documents provide a powerful tool for quickly and throughly searching through chemicals to find those that satisfy a set of physical property and chemical structure constraints.

Example Uses
  • The task of selection solvents for reactions, separations or a carrier fluids, can be performed systematically. The physical property and substucture constraints to find optimal solvents are also very useful in documenting the overall selection process.
  • You can quickly screen all your company's chemical products against physical property constraints requested by a customer.
Document Chapters

A Chemical Selection Document contains four chapters. Each of these chapters can be accessed by clicking on its corresponding tab in the document's Tab Pane.

Chapter Description
Summary Chapter manages title, descriptions and other information about the Chemical Selection document
Chemical Selections Chapter provides capabilities for specifying selection constraints to be used to screen and rank candidate chemicals
Chemical Functions Chapter manages functions that can be used to create selection constraints
References Chapter manages the details of references used through the document
