Bookmark Reference Section
Applicability: Cranium, Synapse (core versions 0315+)

This section contains a single field that stores the reference, if any, indicating the source of the bookmark set. The reference can be any descriptive text string or it can contain the identifier of one the references found in the document’s References Chapter.

A Bookmark's Reference can be any descriptive text string.
Example: Specify the current bookmark’s reference
  1. Open a Bookmarks document. Bookmark documents have the file extention "mksbmd". (Open a "working" document or create a copy of a document (see here) if you are just experimenting with this functionality.)
  2. Click the left mouse button in the Reference’s field data entry control. Cranium activates the Reference edit dialog.

    Pressing the List button will activate a dialog listing all references in the current document.
  3. Press the dialog’s List button. Cranium activates the Reference selection dialog listing all the references in the current document.
  4. Choose one of the displayed references and press the OK button. Cranium stores the bookmark’s reference in the current document and displays its value in the Reference field.
