This webpage demonstrates how Cranium can retrieve the physical property data and estimates of chemicals. Select a chemical from the table to the right, enter temperatures and/or pressures as needed, and then press the 'Get Data' and 'Get Estimates' buttons in the sections below. An MKS Request will be generated, sent to a Web Server edition of Cranium for processing, and returned containing retrieved physical property data and newly generated estimates.
If you cannot find your chemical of interest in the table to the right, it is very likely we used one of its synonyms as the chemical's main identifier. Use the 'matching' controls beneath the table to search the MKS Knowledge Base for the chemical's name. Just enter a part of the chemical's name or synonym and press the search button. A list of possible matches will be displayed in the identifiers table.
A step-by-step instructional video is available on our YouTube channel.
We are continually adding new data and estimation techniques to our MKS Knowledge Base. Please contact us if you would like to recommend some additions or if you have any questions, comments, or other suggestions.

Select a temperature-dependent physical property and press the 'Get Data' button below to instruct the Web Server Edition of Cranium to retrieve and display data values. Enter a range of temperature values and press the 'Get Estimates' button below to instruct Cranium to generate estimates for the selected physical property. Data and estimates are shown in the tables and graph below. Data values are shown as squares and circles. Estimated values are shown as diamonds. The different colors denote different references or techniques.

The Get Values, Get Data, and Get Estimates buttons above retrieve your input temperatures and pressures, package these into a request string and then sends it to an instance of our Cranium, Web Server Edition software product running on a Microsoft Azure virtual machine. Cranium processes the request - retrieving data, generating structure and graph images, and estimating physical properties. These resulting values are then sent back to this webpage for display.
