The Techniques Chapter's Descriptive Information section contains two fields:
The Technique's Property field specifies the physical property being estimated by the current technique. This value must be specified before you can enter a technique's applicability or estimation models.
Clicking the left mouse button on the field's edit control activates the Estimated Property selection dialog.
Selecting a physical property from the All Properties list and pressing the dialog's Save button will store the selected property in the current knowledge base.
Clicking the right mouse button within the field's edit control activates the field's commands menu. The menu's commands enable you to copy, cut and paste values to and from the control. See Common Menu Commands for documentation on the commands commonly found on command menus.
The Technique's Reference field stores a reference for the current estimation technique. This reference can be any value but we recommend that it corresponds to the name of one of the references in the current document. This will enable Cranium and Synapse to easily find details about the technique's reference.
Clicking the left mouse button on the field's edit control will display the Technique Reference edit dialog.
You can enter a value in the dialog's Reference control and/or press the dialog's List button to display a list of all references in the current document. (See documentation on the Choose Reference Dialog for documentation.)
Clicking the right mouse button within the field's edit control activates the field's commands menu. The menu's commands enable you to copy, cut and paste values to and from the control. See Common Menu Commands for documentation on the commands commonly found on command menus.
