Simulis is ProSim's (website) thermodynamics software package. Cranium and Synapse can generate Simulis input files. These input files can contain both physical property data and parameters for physical property models. Once a file is generated, commands within Simulis can be used to load the contained physical property values into a process simulation.
The following window displays an example Simulis input file. Cranium and Synapse will also generate a ".xlog" log file that details the sources and procedures used to generate the exported physical property values.

The following input files were generated by exporting physical property values for cyclohexanol, ethyl acetate and ethanol.
Example File | Description |
---|---|
Cyclohexanol.xml | A Simulis XML input file containing physical property values and technique parameters for cyclohexanol. |
EthylAcetate.xml | A Simulis XML input file containing physical property values and technique parameters for ethyl acetate. |
Ethanol.xml | A Simulis XML input file containing physical property values and technique parameters for ethanol. |
Ethanol.xlog | The log file created by the application documenting the data sources and estimation techniques used to generate the exported values for ethanol. |
