The Comment Dialog is used by various dialogs, e.g., the Bookmarks Dialog and the Temperature-Datum Curves Dialog (and other curves dialogs). Typically, the Comment Dialog is activated from within these dialogs by pressing the Set Comment button.
The main function of the dialog is to enable you to enter a comment to be assigned to selected data. Buttons enable you to quickly insert the date or a commonly used phrase into the comment.

Comment Control: enables you to enter text to provide documention. |

Date Button: pressing the Date button inserts the current date and time into the comment text. The date is inserted at the cursor location. |

Phrase Button: pressing the Phrase button inserts your stored phrase into the comment text. The date is inserted at the cursor location. |

Set Button: pressing the Set button activates the Set Phrase Dialog which enables you to assign a commonly used phrase. (See the Phrase Dialog documentation for additional details.) |
Clicking the right mouse button on the dialog's Comment Value control displays the commands menu. This menu enables you to enter special symbols, change case, copy, and paste values. See the Common Menu Commands documentation for additional details.
