Temperature Series Dialog
Applicability: Cranium, Synapse (core versions 0315+)

The Temperature Series Dialog is used by the Temperature Dependent Estimates Dialog to generate a series of temperatures varying between specified limits.

Dialog Controls

The Temperature Series dialog provides controls for specifying a fixed pressure and a range of temperature values.

1
Starting Temperature Control: enables you to enter the lower limit of the generated temperatures.
2
Limits Buttons: pressing either button activates the Property Limits Dialog. This dialog enables you to select from a list of common temperature limits, e.g., boiling point, melting point, critical temperature, or room temperature. (See below for additional documentation.)
3
Ending/Incrementing Control: enables you to select if temperature values will be generated between a starting and ending limit or will be incremented by a specified amount. See below for details.
4
End/Increment Control: enables you to enter the ending temperature limit or the increment between temperature values. See below for details.
5
Number of Rows Control: displays the number of table rows into which the series values will be pasted. This number is initially equal to number of table rows selected in the estimates dialog.
6
Increment/Decrement Control: enables you to increment or decrement the number of rows into which the series values will be pasted.
7
Display Control: if you select Ending Temperature for the limit type, then this control displays the calculated increment between temperature values. If you select Temperature Increment as the limit type, then this control displays the calculated ending value.
Temperature Limits Dialog

Pressing either of the Temperature Series Dialog's Limits buttons activates the Property Limits dialog.

The dialog enables you to choose from common temperature limits, i.e., melting point, boiling point, critical temperature, and room temperature. A physical property based temperature limit is only listed if there is a data value for that property.

Selecting a temperature limit and pressing the Select button inserts that value into the correpsonding temperature control in the Series dialog.

Ending Temperature or Temperature Increment

Temperature values can be generated between two limits, the Starting Temperature and the Ending Temperature, or by repeatedly incrementing the starting temperature by a specified amount. The dialog's Limit Type control specifies which type of series to generate.

Assuming the number of rows equals 6, the entries to the right would generate temperatures of: 50, 70, 90, 110, 130, and 150 C.
